Don’t Miss Augusta’s First Chilly Chili Cook-Off!

Champions Made From Adversity (CMFA) is pleased to announce the inaugural Chilly Chili Cook-Off! Presented by Fairway Ford. Come to compete, or come to eat! The event will be held from 11:00am – 6:00pm on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at the Augusta Commons, 836 Reynolds Street, Augusta, GA, 30901. Downtown Augusta will come alive when teams from all over the southeast compete for the title of the best Chili in the CSRA. Guests will sample the same chili entered in the contests, sanctioned by both the Chili Appreciation Society International (CASI) and the International Chili Society (ICS). This is an amateur-friendly cook-off, so dust off your apron, grab your spices, and let’s get cookin’! Enjoy great live music, good food and good brew, and stroll through the Augusta Commons to find some unique Christmas gifts from vendors and artists.

Ticket Prices: $10 in advance, $15 at the gate

 All proceeds from the event will benefit Champions Made From Adversity.

Champions Made From Adversity (CMFA) exists to help advance the lives of those with physical disabilities through sport and leisure activities. Currently CMFA runs multiple sports programs for over 100 participants with over 400 volunteers. With 60,000 disabled persons in the CSRA, CMFA is growing fast. Since its founding, Champions Made From Adversity has striven to lead by example that “disabled” is not synonymous with “incapable”, and that having a physical disability does not also mean settling for a life that is anything less than extraordinary. For the last three years CMFA has been a leader in the provision of sport and leisure opportunities for people with physical disabilities, a proud supporter of the Paralympic movement, and a bridge to friendship, self-reliance and community.
